Meeting in Slovakia - Seven Wonders of Slovakia

April 2018

Last April week was the first international project meeting of pupils from partner schools from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Italy. The host was the Slovak Secondary School from Námestovo - their pupil mini-company running a travel agency presented us with the beauty of Slovakia. We visited many interesting places - Orava and Spiš Castle, Demanovska Cave, Košice, we sailed on the Dunajec in Pieniny, we tried to make traditional handicraft products in the Zuberc open-air museum.

However, there were also professional workshops mapping the activities of our mini-companies, a visit and a discussion at the Coffee Museum - a young local entrepreneur, a discussion with the owner of "Ranč u Edyho" accommodation. At the IT workshop, we learned how to work with a 3D printer.

We have established friendly contacts and we are looking forward to another project meeting to be held in Poland in October 2018

Meeting in Poland

October 2018

Upon arrival in Wisla we stayed in a picturesque pension Sloneczny Gród. At the ZSGH Secondary School of Gastronomy and Hotel, we were welcomed and presented by the school, the region and folk traditions, which we also practiced practicing folk dance. After lunch, there were integration and adaptation games and activities where groups of pupils from Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic and Italy met.

Tuesday's day was in the culinary and tasting spirit, as two gastronomic workshops were prepared for us, one of which focused on preparing the main course and the other on dessert. The nipple was a visit of a school graduate who served us in her guesthouse with lunch prepared exclusively from homemade ingredients. Through the workshops we learned to decorate and paint glass plates in the evening program to create an original gift for our loved ones.

On Wednesday we visited the royal chambers of Wawel Castle in Krakow and visited the Wawel Cathedral. Up the endless spiral stairs we descended into the castle below the famous dragon statue, which spouts fire at regular intervals. Followed by a walk to Krakow's Square and a visit to the underground exhibition.

On Thursday's excursion in rainy weather drove us a small cruise train. We saw the President's Residence, the Adam Malysz Trophy Museum and the Wisla Center. On our way to lunch we stopped at an exhibition of paintings and sculptures that took our breath away. In the afternoon we had a photo editing workshop and an economic workshop at school.

On Friday we traveled to the nearby village of Koniakow, where we saw a richly decorated church, we were told about the history of the so-called konakow koronki (embroidery) and the life of old gorals. In the pastoral center, we learned to produce sheep cheeses and sheep wool products. After lunch, we shared with other nations the presentation "How to establish a trade in the Czech Republic", presented in Czech and English. This was followed by an overall evaluation of the stay, handover of gift items and an evening farewell "disco".

Saturday morning was full of emotions as we were forced to say goodbye to our foreign friends. We enjoyed the stay very much, we learned a lot about Polish folk culture and traditions around Wisla, overcome language barriers not only among the Slavic nations, and most of all we met and worked with great people.

We are looking forward to a trip to the Italian Pordenone!

Meeting in Italy

April 2019

Another project meeting took place from 7 to 13 April 2019 in Pordenone, Italy.

We were welcomed by the Mayor of the City and the Tourism Council; After visiting the historic center, we visited the IIS High School, Federico Flora, where local students took care of us. The following days were devoted to getting to know the local culture, way of life and traditions - pupils visited the town of Maniago about local foods.

Food and drink remained a big topic - in San Daniel, students visited a company that produces typical Italian Prosciutto ham, and of course there was no tasting. After that, they passed (this time without tasting) a tour at Pitars Cellars, a company producing wine and Prosseca. The introduction to Italian cuisine was completed by a workshop at the catering company Le TROI CHEF, where the participants of the project had the opportunity to taste delicious desserts and Italian bread Foccaccia.

The program also included cultural monuments - Venice, Aquileia, Trieste and Grado satisfied even the most demanding people interested in history and art.

The project ended with a stunning gala evening at Pitars Cellars. The conclusion was full of emotions, because it included parting with newly acquired foreign friends. And overall rating? If we quote the participants, they "enjoyed the stay very much, gained new information, made new friends and mainly improved their communication in English!"

Meeting in Czech Republic

October 2019

In the framework of the project "Erasmus + we learn to do business in Europe", we showed students and their teachers the beauty of the Czech mountains. H-RESORT in Beskydy provided us with a background for a one-week stay.

The program was very charged from the very beginning. We started with a tour of the nearby family organic farm. The next day, despite the bad weather, we managed to conquer Pustevny, a trail in the clouds Valaška, and also to reach the famous statue of Radegast.

On Wednesday morning, students had the opportunity to meet our school. We attended two workshops - one in the project, creating computer animations, the other developing their creativity in creating a logo for their mini-enterprise. In the afternoon we also visited the Lower Vítkovice area.

In the second half of the week followed a trip to nearby Štramberk, where we used the opportunity to bake our own Štramberk ears, look into the local brewery, set out on the top of Štramberk Trúba and get to know the famous cave Šipka.

On Friday, our last day together, we visited a wooden town in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and a local candle factory. After the farewell and evening entertainment, the participants went back home.

We believe that everyone from their one-week stay in the Czech Republic will enjoy pleasant memories of their entire lives.
